About Me

I’m Lee-Ann O’Brien—author, mother, and Deputy Chief of Police. My debut book, Breaking Trail (Baico Publishing Inc.), blends memoir, self-help, and leadership to offer an honest look at healing, resilience, and the realities of navigating systems as an Indigenous woman in policing. Rooted in lived experience, my writing challenges silence, inspires change, and speaks to those finding their way through difficult terrain—personally or professionally.
